Future missions to Haiti...
The following medical missions to Haiti will entail serving at a large orphanage and direct patient care clinics. To support this initiative, my goal is to sell T-shirts through 2013 and hold fundraisers. 100% of the funds earned from these shirt sales will go towards feeding mouths and treating diseases in Haitians.
I am starting a small 501c3 to help with the distribution and channeling of funds and to organize mobile medical clinics. We are now in the early planning stages as a newly established Christian 501c3 nonprofit organization, with the propose of developing logistical support for planning mobile medical missions in Haiti. Please check back in the near future for an update on our progress.

Potential/Unique outreach initiatives
- Mobile medical teams comprised of local clinicians in developing nations.
- The current model is under development in Haiti with plans to expand in the Caribbean and Africa to nations including, but not limited to Tanzania and Kenya.
- Teams are jumpstarted by volunteers that come in after the aftermath of catastrophes to address rampant diseases, malnutrition and public health needs.
- The unique focus is on collaborating with local clinicians and equipping them with the tools to sustain mobile clinics.
- Specific objectives include: facilitating mobile team productivity by providing compact kits which contain stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, oximeters (which monitor both heart rates and oxygen levels), and digital thermometers; purchasing medications in countries served and culturally relevant literature to promote public health education.
- Funds to support these initiatives will be obtained from various fundraising campaigns including, but not restricted to: theme parties; cook-outs; fashion shows; bake sales; community luncheons and dinners; promotional product sales; concerts; donations received from news media broadcasts and newspaper articles and grants from various organizations.
- A maximum of 10% of all funds received via fundraising will be designated toward administrative expenses.
- Goals include establishing a central headquarters for GMSM in Portland OR. Operations are currently based in a residential space owned by the GMSM founder in Portland OR.
